[Rev Rush: Pixel Moto Runner, a one-tap bike runner game by an independent developer from Slovenia, adds "moving hearts" to all 21 worlds in its latest version 1.4]
Ad-free, one-time purchase only. Supports 20 languages including Japanese, and was compatible with iPhone Duo even before its release. A pixel art endless runner.
Slovenian independent game developer Marko Krulc released version 1.4.0, the "Heart Update," of his one-tap endless runner game for iPhone and iPad, "Rev Rush: Pixel Moto Runner" (available on the App Store/free to play), on October 30, 2026. Each of the 21 worlds has a single hidden heart that moves differently, and collecting seven hearts in a single run earns you a "revival." The game is ad-free, and the only in-app purchase is an optional one-time "Premium" subscription (800 yen). The Premium subscription rewards you with "the same things faster," not "more," so the world rankings are based on the running itself, not the amount spent.
■ About Rev Rush: Pixel Moto Runner
The motorcycle automatically keeps going at full throttle; the only thing the player decides is "when to jump." Tap anywhere on the screen to jump. Jump over holes, dodge obstacles, and land perfectly to keep going.
From the desert by day to night, storms, snow, the sea, mountains, volcanoes, outer space, jungles, neon cities, castles, underwater worlds, New York City, the open sky, factories, forests, children's rooms, caves, poisonous swamps, glacial caves, and finally, a magical forest. The 21 worlds are seamlessly connected without loading screens, and the sky, ground, weather, and music change as you run. After the 21st world, the path reverses, becoming faster and more challenging. There is no finish line, only your own new record to strive for.
Each world has one unique "moving obstacle" that you can only encounter there. A wave of lava surging down the ground, a marlin that rushes towards you, targeting your current height, a row of wooden crates with a gap in one spot, a stalactite that falls when you get close—even with the same single tap, what you're challenged to do changes from world to world.
■ Main contents of version 1.4.0 "Heart Update"
One heart appears in each of the 21 worlds. They move in completely different ways in each world: they descend by parachute, swing while hanging from vines, rise up on bubbles from underwater vents, slide across the ice and dive into cracks, or are launched by catapults from beyond castles.
Each heart is equivalent to one life (maximum of 3). They not only protect you from collisions, but also bounce you back onto the road if you fall into a hole. When your life is full, you get a 25-coin heart bonus.
- You earn one "Revival" for every 7 hearts you collect in a single run. The 6th and 7th hearts will glow gold and are slightly harder to collect.
- The number of shooting stars that appear has tripled. If you jump and grab a shooting star falling from the sky, you will activate a turbo for 2.5 seconds, which will smash obstacles and attract coins like a magnet. Shooting stars will also "respawn" every 7 times.
- Once you collect all 21 hearts in the "Heart Album" on the teleport screen, all subsequent runs will start with one "Revival" item.
- You can now access the "How to Play" guide, which explains the rules, obstacles, machines, and more, in 20 languages, including Japanese, by clicking the "?" button on the title screen and other locations.
We have confirmed that all hearts are in a position where they can be collected without dying, using all 21 worlds and 2 types of machines.
■ Features of this work
• One-tap controls: With minimal time to react at the edge of a cliff (coyote time) and pre-input for jumps, mistakes are always fair. No waiting time, no second button to remember.
• 21 Worlds, 21 Soundtracks: Each world features 21 tracks with different instrumentation, seamlessly crossfading between them.
• Ad-free and offline compatible: There are absolutely no ads. An internet connection is only used when submitting scores to the rankings.
• World Ranking: The top 3 drivers will stand on the podium with their cars sporting their original liveries and their tires spinning. Rankings are separate for each car. You can share your race records as poster images.
It supports 20 languages, including Japanese.
■ Premium (Optional, one-time purchase of 800 yen)
With a single purchase, you unlock a second machine called "Hover" (tap again in mid-air for a double jump, with its own ranking system), "Haptic Roads" that convey the feel of each of the 21 worlds' surfaces through vibration (for iPhones with haptic feedback), "Teleport" to start racing from worlds you've already reached, a garage where you can paint each part of your machine in 51 different colors, all the skins and tracks in the store, and a crown that shines next to your name in the rankings.
However, the limits on hearts, shields, and resurrections (3 each) are the same for all players. Upgrades to shields, lives, and resurrections can be purchased with in-game coins, even by free players. Premium items are only available "earlier," not "more."
■ Optimization for iPhone Duo and iPad (Version 1.3.0)
Version 1.3.0, released on October 14, 2026, completed support for the iPhone Duo 9 days earlier than its release date (October 23). When closed, the outer screen functions like a regular iPhone; when opened, the large inner screen fills the entire screen. Opening or closing the device while driving will pause the game and wait for you. Buttons and text are positioned to avoid folds, whether opened like a book or a laptop. The device can also be played in portrait mode on iPad and iPhone Duo.
■ Games that do not contain any image files
This app contains no image files other than the icon. The rider, obstacles, and clouds—all the pixel art—is written as "sequences of characters" within the source code and drawn one pixel at a time during execution. The background music and sound effects are also entirely synthesized using a custom-made synthesizer, without the use of recorded material. The motorcycle riding on the homepage of the official website (revrush.net) is also drawn using the same data and drawing method as in the game.
■ Developer Comments
"The controls are just one tap. Yet, we aimed to create a game where each of the 21 worlds poses a different question. To ensure players aren't interrupted by ads and can focus solely on their own progress, in-app purchases are limited to a one-time purchase. I'm really looking forward to seeing how far Japanese players can get." (Marko Krulc)
