JTOWERのベトナム子会社SPN、Sun Group・OCKと協定書を締結　2027年APEC首脳会議に向けフーコック島の通信環境を整備

株式会社JTOWER（本社：東京都港区、代表取締役社長CEO：田中 敦史、以下「JTOWER」）のベトナム子会社であるSouthern Star Telecommunication Equipment Joint Stock Company（以下「SPN」）は、不動産開発を手掛けるSun Group Corporationのフーコック開発を担うPhu Quoc Sun Company Limited（以下「Sun Group」または「Phu Quoc Sun」）およびマレーシアの通信インフラシェアリング事業者であるOCK Group Berhadのベトナム事業会社であるVNC-55 Infrastructure Investment Company Limited（以下「OCK」または「VNC55」）との3社間で、2027年にベトナム・フーコック島で開催予定のAPEC（アジア太平洋経済協力）首脳会議に向け、通信環境整備に関する基本協定書（Master Agreement）を締結しましたので、お知らせします。

今後3社は連携し、首脳会議の開催エリアにおける屋外通信環境の整備に加え、国際会議センター、メディアセンター、ホテルなどの主要施設における屋内通信環境の整備を進め、会議の成功に貢献します。

■背景

ベトナム政府は、2027年に開催予定のAPEC首脳会議を「2030年までの期間における最重要外交プロジェクト」と位置づけ、メイン会場となるフーコック島を中心に、空港や交通網の整備をはじめ、ハード・ソフト両面でインフラ構築を進めています。

中でも、世界各国から首脳陣やメディア、ビジネスリーダーが一堂に会する国際会議においては、堅牢かつ安定した通信インフラの提供が重要です。これを受けSPN、OCK、Sun Groupの3者は、これまで培った通信インフラシェアリングの実績、およびエリア開発におけるネットワークや知見を活かし、APEC 2027を支える高品質な通信環境を実現すべく、このたび、基本協定書の締結に至りました。

■3社の役割と今後の取り組み

SPNは、屋内通信インフラの整備・運用、OCKは、屋外通信インフラの整備・運用、Sun Groupは、不動産開発事業者としての立場から、開発エリアにおける整備環境の提供・連携をそれぞれ担い、通信事業者各社と連携のもと、環境の構築を推進します。

JTOWER’s Vietnam Subsidiary SPN Signs Master Agreement with Sun Group and OCK to Enhance Telecommunications Infrastructure on Phu Quoc Island for the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting

— Supporting Vietnam’s APEC initiatives and contributing through infrastructure sharing to a robust communications environment for the international conference —

JTOWER Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Atsushi Tanaka; “JTOWER”) announces that its Vietnam subsidiary, Southern Star Telecommunication Equipment Joint Stock Company (“SPN”), has entered into a three-party Master Agreement concerning telecommunications infrastructure for the 2027 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (“APEC”) Economic Leaders’ Meeting, scheduled to be held on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. The agreement was signed with Phu Quoc Sun Company Limited (“Sun Group” or “Phu Quoc Sun”), the Sun Group Corporation company responsible for development on Phu Quoc, and VNC-55 Infrastructure Investment Company Limited (“OCK” or “VNC55”), the Vietnam operating company of Malaysian telecommunications infrastructure provider OCK Group Berhad.

The three companies will work together to develop outdoor telecommunications infrastructure across the summit area and indoor telecommunications infrastructure at key facilities, including the international convention center, media center and hotels, thereby contributing to the success of the meeting.

■ Background

The Government of Vietnam has designated the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting as its most important foreign-policy project through 2030. With Phu Quoc Island serving as the principal venue, infrastructure development is under way on both the physical and operational fronts, including improvements to the airport and transportation networks.

Reliable and resilient telecommunications infrastructure is particularly critical for an international conference that will bring together leaders, media representatives and business executives from around the world. Drawing on their experience in telecommunications infrastructure sharing and their networks and expertise in area development, SPN, OCK and Sun Group concluded the Master Agreement to help deliver a high-quality communications environment for APEC 2027.

■ Roles of the Three Companies and Next Steps

SPN will be responsible for developing and operating indoor telecommunications infrastructure, while OCK will develop and operate outdoor telecommunications infrastructure. Sun Group, as the real estate developer, will provide and coordinate the environment required for deployment across the development area. The three companies will advance construction of the communications environment in cooperation with telecommunications operators.
